Minnkota wins RE Magazine Photo of the Year

Minnkota Power Cooperative would like to congratulate digital media specialist Michael Hoeft, whose photo "Rise Up" has been named RE Magazine's Photo of the Year for 2022. The photo won the magazine's monthly online photo contest in July 2022, making it one of 11 finalists for Photo of the Year. The winner was decided by online votes, and Minnkota's photo gathered more than 2,400 of those votes. Thank you to Michael for going above and beyond to capture this photo, and thank you to the crew for helping return power to our cooperative friends!

About the photo

When a fellow cooperative asked for help restoring their members’ power in western North Dakota, our line crews stepped up to answer the call. The Minnkota crew worked in wind, 40-degree temperatures and water up to their waists (with smiles on their faces) to help get the lights back on. See the full story here.
