Minnkota and its employee giving organization donated $5,000 to local causes on Giving Hearts Day, which will be matched by event sponsors.

Minnkota CEO Mac McLennan won the Dancing for Special Stars Grand Forks competition, raising nearly $40,000 for the Special Olympics.

Giving Hearts Day is an annual 24-hour giving event that supports charities in North Dakota and northwest Minnesota.
